Jackie Lee Houston was presented with the St. Cecilia Patron of Music Award for her years of supporting music throughout our Valley. Music worked its magic under the moonlight! From the gypsy campfires on the outskirts of Seville to the garrets of Bohemian Paris and the hills of Nagasaki, soprano Jamie Chamberlin, tenor Christopher Campbell, baritone Roberto Perlas Gomez join pianist and music director Victoria Kirsch in an enchanting evening of arias, duets and trios from the worlds of opera, operetta and Broadway. The program includes arias and ensembles from Carmen, Madama Butterfly, La Bohème, Il Trovatore and South Pacific, as well as Debussy’s piano masterpiece, “Clair de lune” [from the Suite Bergamasque].
